About Us

High school is confusing, fun, awful, amazing, ridiculous, and most of all, memorable. 1001 different words can try to describe it. Let’s be honest though… the people who know it best are those who just experienced it.

That’s what the College Board of Directors is — a handful of diverse college students who literally just went through everything you experience on a daily basis in high school. The best part? They survived… and you will too.

Now you can learn from their experiences, their fascinations, their interests, and their stories. Our board is here to help you through this crazy journey to college. Ask them questions, have a bit of fun, and explore the world that you are about to enter.

Here are short bios about our current bloggers:

* World-traveler, tie-dye enthusiast, and future Civil and Environmental engineer, Zak will be starting his second year at UC Berkeley—a college he loves for its diversity and quirkiness.

* Ian is now in his final year at Stanford University, where he is majoring in Human Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience and Human Behavior. Originally from Cleveland, Ian writes for a satirical newspaper and plays saxophone and occasionally the drums.

* Massachusetts-born Brittany is an Economics major, lacrosse player, and rising junior at Brown University. As our only recruited athlete, Brittany will provide an untraditional perspective to the college admissions process.

* Born and raised in Europe, Clarissa is an avid volunteer and self-professed foodie and film aficionado who recently finished her first year at UC Berkeley and plans to double major in Economics and Film Studies.

* Gregarious and upbeat, Tyler recently relocated south from Davis, California to UCLA—where he is a sophomore and is actively exploring his passion for Christianity, music, and sports.
